Wanted to find! #lostSD

I have started a worldwide search for the owner of an SD card that I mistakenly thought was my own and have left this to the powers of the worldwide web to get that SD card back to its rightful owner.

Why? Because it is full of photos of photos, like this person has been researching their family history and used their camera to record their search. This is not just a bunch of holiday snaps but a journey that the owner may not get a chance to repeat now that they have lost the card. I have been on the receiving end of people’s kindness so many times that I wanted to do all that I can to get the card back to them.

Details: The owner of this SD card travelled to Las Vegas on the 23rd December 2012, maybe via San Francisco. They travelled via Wirepass Trailhead on the 29th December 2012. While in Utah, they visited The Arches National Park over two days 30th December and 31st December 2012.

I picked this card up in the car park at the Windows trail on the 31st December thinking I had dropped my SD from my camera case into the snow.

The details so far:

  • A SanDisk 8GB card that is full.
  • The Owner may be of Asian ancestry by the nature of the photos.
  • Found in The Arches National Park Utah on 31st December 2012.

  1. I saw your G+ post yesterday and wondered how the best way to help would be. Thought of twitter because more/different coverage than G+ so started to follow you there. Going to RT your tweet but add more info. It would prove the power and value of social media if the SD can be returned to its owner.

Thanks for the RT. I am totally confident that we will find the owner (and it may not be the actual woman in the photos!). Thanks for joining the search.

  2. This was shared on the Arches FB page. Someone over there guessed that the owner of the card may be Chinese and recommends that you should translate the page into Mandarin. Good Luck!

Post some of the pictures on Ifoundyourcamera.net. It is a site made for these situations

  4. I just want to wish you luck and say that it’s an amazing thing you’re doing. Saw this link on my FB page and will be sure to share it.
